小論文作成の準備に取りかかる

卒業研究の発表会 - fukuitの日記を受けて、一ヶ月以内に小論文を作成する必要がある。Microsoft Wordで書くのは気分が乗らないので、十数年ぶりにTeXで書いてみようと思い立った。
オレが大学の卒業論文を書いた頃には、asciiの日本語Texか？NTTのjTexか？なんて争い（？）があったもんだが、今、Leopard環境にインストールするとしたら、何になるのか？
こういう時には、MacPortsである。

ああ、どうしたら良いんだ？そういえば、会社に入ってしばらくした頃、「これからはLaTeX 2εなんだよ」なんて話を聞いたことを思い出した。

これだ、pTeXだ。というわけで、ようやく「port install pTeX」でインストールできた。どうやら、asciiの日本語TeXの流れを汲む物らしい。そもそも大学生時代に使っていたlatexが日本語TeXだったのかjTeXだったのかは分からないけれど(大学内の環境向けにカスタマイズされていたらしい。何しろ、コマンド名がkolatexだったし、スタイルシートもkoarticleとかだったから)。
というワケで、pTeXの環境をインストールしただけで、息も絶え絶え。小論文作成は明日からにする。なんか、もう何から思い出せばよいのか？って感じ。
